This is the first flute arrangement by the well-known flutist Alena Walentin — and it’s excellent.

The piece, originally written for violin by Tomaso Antonio Vitali (1663–1745), is full of emotion and technical challenges. It was first published in 1867. Some believe it's not a true Baroque work because the harmony is more advanced than typical for that time.

Alena’s version keeps the drama and difficulty of the original, making it exciting for both players and listeners.
